The Sulphuric Acid Plants Round Table is a technical meeting that, for more than a decade, has brought together operators, maintenance professionals, engineers, and acid plant leaders from major operations around the world.
Over the five days of the event, there will be technical sessions featuring presentations, discussions, and round tables, as well as networking and social activities. Each session will address current challenges and best practices in operation, maintenance, environmental control, safety, and energy efficiency in metallurgical and sulfur-burning sulphuric acid plants, among others.

Cancellation Policy
For cancellation requests received in writing on or before August 1, 2026, Holtec will refund 80% of the total registration fees. Unfortunately, due to our hotel commitments, no refunds can be made for cancellations received after this date.

Deadlines for paper and presentation submissions
For those wishing to present a paper or presentation, the deadlines are as follows:
Abstract submission: April 30, 2026
Paper submission: June 30, 2026
Presentation submission: August 31, 2026
Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes, followed by 5–10 minutes for questions and answers.
Simultaneous translation from English to Spanish (and vice versa) will be provided, as usual, by our expert technical translator, at no cost to participants.
Please note: Papers will be included in the 2026 Round Table E-Book; presentations will not. Papers received after the July 31 deadline will also be excluded.
Round Table Proceedings and Notebook
Since 2023, we no longer print the proceedings in paper format; however, all participants will receive the 2026 electronic edition as well as the classic notebook. Those interested can reach a highly specialized audience of experts and potential clients by placing one or more advertisements.
The deadline for reserving and paying for advertisements is July 31, 2026; the submission deadline for final materials is August 15. After this date, your ad will not be included in the book, and no refunds will be issued. Files must be delivered in pre-press PDF format @100% and 300 dpi. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email with general guidelines and specific format requirements for publication.

How do I get to the venue from Punta Arenas airport?
We will arrange transportation to the hotels at the time of your flight arrivals.
Can you help me with hotel reservations outside the conference dates?
Unfortunately, we cannot. We suggest contacting your hotel directly.
Will there be booths at the conference for sponsors?
No, only tables will be available for displaying brochures. Please do not bring samples or products.
